All of the edges that are higher in the ride area will receive wear first.
It is best to sand and fill the damage in the entire area and repaint, as the spots are large enough that it will be difficult to match the paint in just the damaged spots.
Due to the location of the damage, another additional coat of paint will protect the surface as well.
